Premium audio equipment manufacturer Bang & Olufsen brilliant Beosound 1 and Beosound 2 are soon going to get a very useful update. In September, the company plans to release the two ultra-premium speakers with Google Assistant built in. This means the B&O speakers will offer the same wide range of features as the Google Home. B&O’s engineers have specially designed the pair of new speakers with advanced echo-cancelling technology that uses five microphones built into them to distinguish the sound originating from the speaker from other ambient noises. This technology will should help the Google Assistant to capture voice commands with more accuracy.
The speakers have a striking design with hovering upper sections and a downward-facing speaker driver, which shoot sound in every direction. The speakers now have also been given four buttons on the top which can be assigned to different functionalities. Additionally, they also have Chromecast and Apple Airplay 2 integration, which means they are able to stream any of the best streaming services on the market right now. “We are on an exciting journey to bring the convenience of voice technology across the portfolio to our audience of design-conscious customers, who expect the highest standards in terms of sound and craftsmanship. Considering that Beosound 2 with the Google Assistant is the most powerful and best sounding voice-enabled speaker on the market today, this first step marks a solid commitment to our customers”, Bang & Olufsen Director of staged and flexible speakers Petros Belimpasakis said in a statement.
