After opening doors to the Gucci Garden – a boutique, exhibition space and restaurant (Osteria) in Florence last year, the Italian luxury label- Gucci is now set to launch its first-ever restaurants in the United States of America. Set to open in the city of Los Angeles, the venture will mark the second restaurant opened by the Kering-owned luxury giant and the first outside of Italy.
Based on the successful run of Gucci Osteria (which marked a passion project by company C.E.O. Marco Bizzarri and esteemed three-Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura), the brand’s US restaurant is expected to provide the choicest of foods and drinks, while delighting connoisseurs with an amalgamation of fashion and gastronomy unlike ever seen before. The venture is also aimed at marking the brand’s presence in the US market outside of fashion and thus helping its build base for future businesses.
Traversing outside the boundaries of fashion is one of the most commonly noted trends for luxury brands. Earlier in the decade, LVMH also made the jump into the F&B industry with its restaurant named ‘Diro’. The luxury group has also expressed plans of opening a restaurant on Rodeo Drive, to attract wealthy consumers in Beverly Hills and nearby areas. Well, here’s hoping to savor some seriously stylish food in the days to come!
