In most cases, a day filled with shopping ends with a cup of coffee or tea but this is 2020 as witnessed things are changing this year. you can now indulge and unwind with a cocktail hour at Harrod’s which is opening the gates in a fine avatar with the ‘Baccarat Bar’. The happy return of social life cannot be sans happy hour and what better place to meet and greet couldn’t have happened at a better place than the hip and opulent new cocktail den, the Baccarat Bar. The famous French crystal brand is opening a 23-seat room on the lower ground floor of the Brompton Road department store. It has its own separate entrance and a tantalizing menu of 20-strong cocktails which will be served in Baccarat’s finest making the experience unforgettable. Guests can keep their worries and health concerns at bay as a modified capacity of 23 guests at a time is allowed along with careful adherence to social-distancing guidelines, making Baccarat Bar the perfect place for a long-awaited meet up with friends over drinks. The newly open place is designed and overseen by Cameron Attfield, who enjoys the title of UK’s bartender of the year at the World Class awards. Baccarat’s signature red makes an appearance with leather and velvet upholstery that look charming along with bits of gold and midnight-blue. The bar dazzles with ornate crystal lighting, illustrations by artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet, along with theatrical frescoes on the stairs and tabletops, inspired by French interiors.
This glamorous hotspot at Harrod’s will hold a door that opens to Harrods’ cigar lounge and will serve wines, spirits, and beers too. Toast to health and happiness with a short menu of Champagnes and eat away to glory with food, prepped by the store’s in-house chefs. A spokesperson for Harrods confirmed that the bar will be permanent.
