Herman Miller has partnered with Logitech for a $1,500 gaming chair

Herman Miller over its 110-year-long existence has established its name as a business famous for creating stylish, modern and scientifically-designed office and home furniture. The American brand has now decided to enter the lucrative segment of gaming furniture and peripherals in a bid to attract a completely new and untapped demographic. The Zeeland, Michigan-based furniture manufacturer has collaborated with Logitech – a very popular player in the gaming peripherals business – to introduce the new Embody Gaming Chair. The high-end gaming chair focuses on comfort and support over flashy styling that is usually expected from gaming chairs. If you’ve been in the market looking for a gaming chair, you’ll be aware that the majority of gaming chairs feature a racing-seat like styling. The Embody Gaming Chair looks more like a usual office chair, similar to the brand’s current line of Embody designs, except for blue details found under the armrests and chair back.

“Gamers deserve advanced ergonomic solutions in all aspects of play. We partnered with Herman Miller to evolve their award-winning Embody Chair into a solution that meets the specific needs of gamers today,” said Logitech’s chief marketing officer, Peter Kingsley. “This is the first step in an ongoing relationship, and we’re proud to be working with Herman Miller to find new ways to help all gamers play at their best.” To offer unmatched comfort to gamers, the gaming chair is equipped with the company’s PostureFit spinal support system along with an extra layer of padding and cooling foam. The Embody Gaming Chair is priced at $1495 and will be soon joined by a height-adjustable desk and monitor arm in a line-up by Herman Miller created for gamers.
