Neel Indian Kitchen + Bar opened its doors in Powai early this week. The interiors are warm and welcoming, the furniture with neat clean lines gives the feeling of space and the walls are accentuated with Devnagari type and with custom made ceramic plates by an NGO-Om Creations.
The menu is an interesting amalgamation of traditional recipes from regions of India ranging from street food of Kolkata and Rajasthan to the pure Kashmiri and Konkani fare. The menu has a dish named after its Master Chef – Chef Mukhtar called Raan Mukhtar which needs to be ordered a day in advance.
The restaurant also houses a fully stocked bar with an interesting cocktail list using authentic Indian ingredients and an array of delicious snacks to go with them.
