Montblanc’s newest limited edition pen is wrapped in black rubber from Pirelli tires.

Think tires, think Pirelli. Think pens, think Montblanc. The two iconic brands have been around for a commendable period, and it was only a matter of time that they came together to make something fabulous that only legends can. The Montblanc Meisterstück has created a benchmark since its inception in 1924. Pirelli, the high-value tire manufacturer, founded almost 150 years ago, in 1872, displays the same ethos and commitment to craftsmanship with the material that defined their origin stories- rubber.

The Meisterstück Great Masters Pirelli Limited Edition 1872 is made of black rubber. The cap and barrel of this beautiful writing instrument are separated with narrow red rings adding a dynamic accent to the black body. Seen on the cap top, is a precious mother-of-pearl crown of the Montblanc emblem. Are you wondering where Pirelli makes a mark on the valued pen?

The Meisterstück Great Masters Pirelli Limited Edition 1872 flaunts an engraved pattern on the cap and barrel inspired by a historic graphic treatment of the Pirelli logo. The representative and striking ‘P’ appears on the handcrafted Au 750 solid gold nib above a stylized running tire with the Montblanc emblem at its center. Meisterstück Great Masters Pirelli Limited Edition 1872 is available from September 2021 at Montblanc boutiques worldwide.

Fans of the brands would like to know, this isn’t the first time the two legendary brands have come together. In 2019, Montblanc and Pirelli came together to create the sleekest line of trolleys that we have seen in a long time. This time it was Montblanc’s turn to offer the world an example of this fine collaboration and we are so glad they did.
