The extravagant wedding of Anant Ambani, son of the richest person in Asia, and Radhika Merchant has been a trending topic since the beginning of this year. From Kim Kardashian to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to Priyanka Chopra, some of the most prominent celebrities from all across the world flew to Mumbai, India, to attend the multi-day nuptials. Beyond the star-studded guestlist and Anant Ambani’s jaw-dropping watches, something that drew a lot of attention was the cars used by the Ambani family. Be it the $1.2 million bulletproof Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard that was sent to the airport to pick up Justin Bieber ahead of his pre-wedding performance or the heavily decorated Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge used by the groom on the day of the wedding, the Ambani family’s love for hyper-expensive cars was on full display. But if that’s impressive, wait till you learn about the car used by the family’s pet dog.
Amidst all the lavish celebrations and high-profile guests attending the wedding, the Ambani family’s beloved furry family member, Happy, stole the spotlight. Dressed in a red and gold designer outfit believed to be worth $120,000, the ultra-cute golden retriever was seen roaming around freely during the wedding ceremonies. Just like the rest of the family members, Happy travels around in style.
According to a post shared on the Instagram page named Automobili Ardent India, the Ambani family dog rides in a Mercedes-Benz G400d, which is priced at around $500,000 in India. The white-colored diesel G-Wagen is exclusively used by Happy to travel in utmost comfort and luxury. The caption along the Instagram post claims that the family dog previously used to travel in a Toyota Fortuner and a Toyota Vellfire, priced at $50,000 and $150,000, respectively.
Happy’s luxury SUV is not the only white G-Wagen owned by the Ambanies. The richest family in India has a fleet of at least five Mercedes-AMG G63s that are used by security personnel protecting the Ambanies. While the G-Wagen is an attention magnet, it might look a little too bland in front of Anant Ambani’s next luxury ride.
According to some news reports, the 29-year-old received an allocation for a gold Dartz Prombron worth $1.6 million as a wedding present. Underpinned by a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, the gold-plated luxury SUV became famous by featuring in Sacha Baron Cohen’s political satire comedy The Dictator.
