When you’ve been CEO of a billion-dollar company, you’re bound to roll in riches. A living proof of that is Google’s ex-CEO Eric Schmidt and his sprawling real estate empire. After owning a couple of houses across the globe, the entrepreneur recently purchased a swanky malibu colony retreat, priced at $22.6 million.

Located inside a gated community, the novel beach home previously belonged to late real estate developer Ralph Kiewit Jr. It was originally listed for $29 million in December 2020 and later for $25 million in June 2021, before finally going to Schmidt for a huge discount.

It features a spiral staircase that connects to the upper floors, which hold an oversized master retreat with an ocean-view balcony, dressing area, and cedar-lined closet, further completed with a spa-like bath sporting a soaking tub and standalone shower.

As per the listing, the property also holds two additional bedrooms, an office space, a “classic tea house,” and a guesthouse with a full kitchen and bath situated over the garage. The home was constructed in 1969 and has been refurbished several times since.
