Audi teases A9 concept ahead of LA Auto Show debut

Audi has released a new teaser video on YouTube that gives clues on what to expect from the A9 concept that will makes its debut at this month’s Los Angeles Auto Show. Instead of a static image, this time the video displays the showcar that is kept literally under wraps for most of the video in addition to a couple of moments where some of the features of the Audi A9 are teased. The silhouette, however, clearly shows that gives us a clue that it is going to be a large luxury coupe or GT car. The video is narrated by new Audi design chief Marc Lichte.

According to Marc, the concept represents his vision of what Audi stands for now and in the future. He says it will be a perfect blend of the things that have established the brand in recent years. The car will have performance and Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, will be perfectly proportioned like its large executive sedans, and will embody the styling and emotional notes that made the TT coupé a global hit. The video also gives a sneak peek at the A9’s massive, blocky, turbine-style wheels that the conceptual flagship will wear in Los Angeles, and I must say it looks splendid. We expect more teaser videos in the run up to the LA Auto Show, which gets underway on Nov 19.
