Ducati has launched its first-ever carbon-framed e-MTB bike that features top-of-the-line components and is limited to just 230 units

Legendary Italian brand Ducati is best known for making fire-breathing high-performance motorcycles. However, the motorcycle manufacturer has also been steadily expanding its range of high-end mountain e-bikes over the last few years. The newest to be added to its line-up is the Powerstage RR Limited Edition, the first carbon-framed e-MTB by Ducati. The limited edition e-enduro model has been specifically designed to tackle the most extreme off-road conditions.

Showcased at the Bike Festival in Misano, the highly-exclusive e-bike features nothing but the very best components. The term “Powerstage” in the name refers to a new type of special stage that was recently introduced in the e-enduro circuits. The technical uphill route is meant to challenge both the rider and the machine.

The range-topping Ducati Powerstage RR LTD is powered by the Shimano EP801 propulsion system which has a maximum torque rating of 85 Newton-meter. Additionally, it offers a maximum power output of 500 watts, which according to Shimano amplifies the rider’s pedaling power by up to 400 percent. As a result, the flagship e-bike can tackle the steepest, most technical climbs effortlessly. To offer maximum performance in the enduro field, the e-bike features a specially developed full-carbon frame.

Certain areas of the frame that are prone to high stress have been reinforced with extra carbon layers, ensuring durability. The e-bike also features a special livery inspired by Ducati’s Desmosedici GP23 MotoGP bike. The Ducati Powerstage RR LTD is limited to only 230 individually numbered examples, each priced at €11,990 (about $13,000).
