At the Paris Fashion Week, Fiat introduced a trio of special editions named ‘Fiat 500 Couture’ which includes an exclusive Ron Arad edition. The three concepts were presented at the MotorVillage Rond-Point des Champs-Elysées during the Paris Fashion Week and the Ron Arad edition Fiat 500 is the highlight of the series. The model pays tribute to the original 500 in an unusual way. Created in collaboration with the Israeli designer, it pays homage to the company’s 1957 version with a drawn silhouette on the sides of the bodywork. It gives a perspective on how small the classic model was compared to the modern one. It features a specific design like a garment “sewn” onto the car using “quintessentially Italian craftsmanship.”
In addition to the exterior styling, the Ron Arad Fiat 500 also comes with a host of features like glass sunroof, chrome-plated accents, black interiors, black Poltrona Frau leather seats with ivory trim, 7-inch TFT instrument panel, Blue&Me, leather steering wheel with radio controls, automatic climate control system, fog lights, 16-inch alloy rims, black metallic paintwork and white mirror caps. The buyers will get the car directly delivered to their doorstep along with an accurate 1:18 scale model in a showcase. It will go on sale in the major European markets from November 2014 but there is no word on the price as of yet. Alongside the 500 Ron Arad edition Fiat also showcased two fashion-inspired Fiat 500s in Paris, the 500 Comics and 500 Camouflage.
