At some point during the hundredth attempt, with his shins already paying the price and a $4 million hypercar parked in his flight path, daredevil Frankie LaPenna had to just commit. The viral content creator, better known online as Frankie Lap, spent three full days being towed by a $450,000 KTM X-Bow GT-XR into a snow ramp outside The Hamilton Collection warehouse in Naperville, Illinois, with a Koenigsegg Jesko sitting at the bottom, doors wide open, completely unprotected. Eventually, he cleared it. The viral clip makes it look easy, but that’s far from the truth.

First, the stakes. The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack is a 1,600-horsepower hypercar, with only 125 ever built and a $4 million price tag, where the margin between a clean landing and a seven-figure repair bill was a handful of feet at most. The Jesko’s road to becoming a stunt prop has been eventful, to put it kindly.

The morning after it arrived, owner Steve Hamilton walked out to find two puddles of brake fluid sitting underneath it. Inside, warning lights were all over the dashboard. The steering display had already blacked out once mid-drive and rebooted itself as if nothing had happened. He went public, called out Koenigsegg directly, and ended up in a very visible argument with Christian von Koenigsegg himself over whether the car was actually fit to leave the driveway.

Hamilton built his fortune turning SD Wheel and Fitment Industries into major players in the aftermarket wheel and tire space, before channeling that success into one of the most eclectic hypercar collections in America. His stated mission is “Driven to Give Back,” putting the cars to work at charity events rather than keeping them behind velvet ropes. That philosophy clearly extends further than most collectors would be comfortable with.

For the stunt itself, a snow ramp was packed between the Jesko and a KTM X-Bow GT-XR, which towed Frankie into the jump at speed. The KTM had to hit near-identical speed on every attempt. Frankie had to match his body position and pop each time. A slight wobble off the lip and he’s hitting the roof of a car with 1,600 horsepower and a price tag to match. His caption said it best: a generational debt if he missed. For the owner, apparently, the car had already caused enough stress; might as well jump over it
