Popular YouTube content creator Darren “IShowSpeed” recently pulled off an insane stunt of leaping over this Cristiano Ronaldo-themed Lamborghini Huracan, which was being driven towards him by his dad at a very high speed. The death-defying stunt immediately grabbed headlines, with many people accusing him of faking the stunt. Preempting the accusations, the 19-year-old influencer shared multiple angles of his jump in the short video posted on several social platforms, including Instagram and YouTube. He also uploaded videos of two failed attempts. In the clip, Speed’s dad can be seen cruising down an empty street in the dual-tone Lambo. Just when the supercar is about to hit the YouTuber, he leaps over it, barely missing the 14-foot-long Italian exotic.
“WOOOOO!” Speed can be heard yelling after doing Ronaldo’s signature Siu celebration. “First person in the world!” Speed isn’t the first one to pull off this stunt, which is a recreation of Kobe Bryant’s iconic Nike ad in which he jumps over an Aston Martin. The only thing is Black Mamba’s jump wasn’t actually real. However, we have no reason to question the authenticity of Speed’s video, as he’s known for his athleticism and wild personality. But many commenters pointed out how influencers are pushing their luck while pulling off mad stunts in the name of creating viral content.
The 19-year-old YouTuber purchased the Lamborghini Huracan earlier this in March. The V10 supercar features a special livery that pays tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo. Speed is a well-known superfan of the Portuguese soccer superstar. He often travels around the world to attend Ronaldo’s matches. Nevertheless, jumping over the Huracan and risking his life just to get more likes and follows was a bold move. Thankfully, everything went well, and no one was hurt.
