Earlier this year, Maybach Ocean Club announced that German shipbuilder Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven was chosen as the shipyard partner for Beyond Horizons, a remarkable 508-foot superyacht designed to become the centerpiece of an exclusive floating members’ club. Now we have the visuals to support the ambitious concept that will cater to 300 members and embody a luxury lifestyle offering everything from oceanfront workouts and breathwork to French-inspired dinners and private balconies. In a world where millionaires own their lavish yachts, Beyond Horizons goes the extra mile by turning the yacht into a floating private sanctuary that expects to cover seasonal itineraries across the Mediterranean in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter.

Inside, it takes away the chaos of overpacked five-star resorts and replaces it with 30 identical residential-style suites offering around 74 square meters of space and private balconies for up to 72 members and guests. For those who believe the more the merrier, six additional guest cabins will also be located forward for short-term use by invited friends and family of members. Let’s take a look at everything this sailing sanctuary will offer, one luxe amenity at a time-

A home-like warmth with a Maybach upgrade:
Warm and welcoming, the massive suites are flanked by rounded sofas, substantial coffee tables, textured rugs, and separate sleeping areas. This separation gives it a home-like layout, while the Maybach branding on patterned cushions and throws serves as a wonderful reminder of the fortunate position one is in.

The designers have done a splendid job of carrying the automotive identity into the rooms without turning the space into a showroom. Heller Design can be credited for the milieu of the lavish suite, bathroom, and a proposed marina-style beach club complete with an infinity pool and direct sea access, while Mercedes-Benz Design and Dölker + Voges are collaborators on the wider yacht concept.

Fitness and wellness elevated:
Wellness is an all-around concept where both internal and external factors need to work in tandem. On board Beyond Horizons, Chenot, founded in the 1970s, known for its health and medical spa program that merges modern Western medical technology with traditional Chinese medicine will manage health and fitness for guests. In addition to the wellness experience, Chenot will offer Pilates, breathwork, mobility, functional strength, personalized performance assessments, recovery treatments, and nutrition as part of the planned program. The 508-footer will include a planned medical center. A well-equipped ocean-facing gym will make long treadmill sessions a much more pleasant experience.

Food for the soul by Alain Roux:
Under his guidance, Beyond Horizons will feature what Roux describes as ‘Waterside Inn at sea’ with the flair of a three-Michelin-starred restaurant. On the one hand, there is top-notch wellness and fitness, and on the other, there is a celebrated French chef shaping the pleasures of the table.
There is a 230-foot support vessel in the cards to handle tenders, a helicopter, and operational logistics, along with additional Beyond Horizons amenities like a golf simulator, a cigar lounge, and a professional diving center. “At Maybach Ocean Club, we are creating far more than a destination at sea,” stated Michael Hehn, co-founder and managing director. German shipyard Lloyd Werft confirmed a scheduled delivery for 2029.
