Lamborghini Gallardo has been with us for more than 10 years now, yet by modernizing and retrofitting it constantly, the baby Lambo looks anything but old. To add to the current Gallardo collection, Lamborghini has announced a new version, ‘LP 570-4 Squadra Corse’, named after the racing division of the Italian sportscar maker. It is based on Gallardo Super Trofeo race car and promises to bring the same race track experience in a road-legal version. Some of the features it shares with Super Trofeo Gallardo include an all-wheel-drive concept, carbon fiber components, a quick-release engine cover, and a big rear wing. The bespoke components keep the overall weight down, aiming it extremely agile.
Inside the cabin, regular seats have been swapped for Carbon fiber bucket seats with Alcantara center inserts. The door panels, center console cover, handbrake frame, and lower section of the steering wheel are all made in carbon fiber to give it a race car feel.
Thanks to all the weight-saving measures and the 570HP V10, LP 570-4 Squadra Corse can complete the 0-60 sprint in 3.4 seconds and tops out at 199 Mph. The car will make its debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
