This track-only Porsche 911 race car previously served as a personal training car for none other than two-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen. It has only 2,185km (about 1358 miles) on the clock and has been maintained by the Red Bull Racing team, making it even more desirable. Additionally, the one-of-one example wears a special Verstappen ‘lion’ livery and has been personally autographed by the once-in-a-generation racing driver on the front hood, the dashboard, and on the engine block.
There’s a good reason why Max chose the GT2 RS Clubsport as his preferred tool to hone his racing skills. Based on the 991.2-generation 911, the GT2 RS Clubsport is a race-ready evolution of the most powerful roadgoing 911 ever produced. Its rear-mounted 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six churns out 700hp, which is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. Furthermore, the Clubsport is 177 pounds lighter than the regular GT2 RS thanks to its stripped-out cabin. It is equipped with a full FIA-spec roll cage along with additional race hardware, making it perfect for track days and Clubsport racing events. It’s up for sale in the US with an asking price of about $750,000, which is a lot more than its original $478,000 sticker price; but it’s more than justified. With only 200 examples built by Porsche, the GT2 RS Clubsport is a very rare and highly desirable car. However, the ownership history of this particular example makes it even more special and further escalates its collectible value.
