Pininfarina-designed luxury yacht concept ‘Aurea’ revealed

Renowned Italian design firm Pininfarina has unveiled a new super-yacht design concept named ‘Aurea’. Developed in collaboration with Rossinavi, the luxury boat carries the unmistakable design elements of Pininfarina, a brand responsible for over 100 Ferrari designs. The Aurea concept made a world premiere at the ongoing SuperYacht Gallery luxury expo in London. The first collaborative effort between the two Italian companies, it focuses on the lifestyle of the owner and guests with a record size beach club for a ship of its size.

The luxury yacht is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system housed at the center of the boat rather than in the stern area, and its stern includes two swimming pools, three large outdoor decks and an additional water-level access on both sides of the hull. The 70-meter vessel’s shape is harmonious and dynamic at the same time thanks to the elegant helical bands that characterize the superstructures linking the bridges. The upper band, for example, frames the bridge and then goes downstairs, harmoniously joining the owner’s deck, creating a lavish scenic effect that integrates the outer connecting staircases to the upper deck, where Eli-Deck is expected.
