What the U.S. struggles to achieve, smaller nations are managing with ease. Superyacht Stefania is set to be auctioned after being seized in Genoa by the French government agency Agrasc, which has entrusted De Baecque & Associés with organizing the sale. Seized by the courts at the end of 2023 by the Italian police, at the request of the French authorities, in Sestri Ponente, the yacht was on a stopover with full tanks and was preparing to go to Dubai. Life happened, changing the plans of her Belarusian owner. It was announced earlier in December 2023 that the auction will finally take place on March 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the La Ciotat shipyards in Bouches-du-Rhône.
The Dynamiq GTT 135 model from 2021 is a true gem, with a starting bid of $10 million, a bargain for a yacht as exquisite as Stefania. According to Le Figaro, the 134-footer is practically brand new, with a mere 200 hours logged on her twin MAN engines. This sprightly superyacht reaches a top speed of 21 knots and features an exquisite interior by Giuseppina Arena, an exterior by Dobroserdov Design, and naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
Beyond performance, Stefania stuns with Art Deco aesthetics that could put even the grandest vessels to shame. Designed to accommodate 10 guests, her luxurious features include some jaw-dropping details, most notably, a genuine wood-burning fireplace. The interiors boast 7-foot-high ceilings, complemented by lacquered wood, Calacatta Borghini marble, and plush suedes and velvets that enhance the Art Deco ambiance. Even the five-centimeter-thick carpet makes a statement, offering the sensation of walking on a cloud.
As someone partial to sundecks, I can’t get over the serene expanse crafted aboard Stefania’s sprawling sundeck. It’s a space designed for indulgence, featuring a circular 10-seater dining table, sunpads, seating and drinks table aft, a day head, a sit-up bar, two 75-inch TVs, and a circular Jacuzzi, a floating paradise, ready for the ultimate alfresco experience.
Interestingly, the main suite isn’t on the upper deck but on the lowest deck, ensuring maximum comfort both at anchor and underway. As mentioned above, seized superyacht Stefania will hit the auction block on March 27 for a mouth-watering price thats half of her 2022 sales listing price. Interested bidders are required to register in advance and provide a deposit of nearly $520,000 to participate.
Those interested in yacht shopping should know that soon a grander spectacle may soon take center stage. According to the Marseille prosecutor, the Amore Vero, which has been under surveillance in La Ciotat since March 2022, is set to hit the auction block in the near future.
