This UFO-style jet boat has to be one of the coolest watercraft we’ve come across. Created by Vietnamese craftsman Tran Long Ho, the motorized flying saucer is a fully functional jet boat that can reach speeds up to 31mph, which is quite impressive. This is not the first wild project undertaken by the Vietnamese creator. In fact, Mr Ho runs a YouTube channel where he puts videos documenting the entire build process of his interesting creations. The 1-hour-long video on the UFO jet boat has already garnered more than a million views over a week since it was uploaded.

The video begins with how the YouTuber got the idea of building the watercraft from a dream of being chased by a UFO. While the crazy-looking boat might look quite sophisticated, it was built using very basic tools and techniques, making it even more awesome. Mr Ho begins by drawing the basic disc shape of the vessel on the floor. Then, he creates a sand mold on top of it before covering it with a thin sheet of concrete to make a hard shell. Mr Ho and his team apply layers of fiberglass and epoxy to craft the body of the jet boat.

Once the saucer-shaped top and hull are made, Mr Ho makes a series of hexagonal window cutouts and an ultra-cool sliding door equipped with a cleverly designed mechanism. The doors are inscribed with a message reading: “The Universe is vast and life is endless.” On the inside, the YouTuber fits the boat with a grey-colored lining along with a yoke steering, pedals, necessary switchgear, and LED lighting. The motor to power the vessel is located right at the center.

The jet boat features hexagonal solar panels on the outside to power the electronics. The exterior is painted in steathy grey and is fitted with more LED lights. Viewers on YouTube expressed their amazement in the comment section. “Never in my life have I seen so much talent in one individual. You are a gift to all mankind,” one user wrote. “I am a retired engineer with 73 years. This video brought me back to when I was a young boy,” another person said.
