After famously damaging the wing of his $4 million Bugatti Chiron by standing on it, this 24-year-old influencer has now completely wrecked his 1,479-horsepower hypercar, and will be sending it to a salvage auction where it will be sold for cents to the dollar

The hypercar gods have a twisted sense of humor. Alex Gonzales, the 24-year-old YouTuber who famously went from flipping burgers at Dunkin’ Donuts to flipping million-dollar Forex trades, has now managed to flip his prized Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport into a very expensive paperweight. The front end of the car has taken quite the beating, with the force of impact enough to trigger the airbags, and his insurance company has officially declared the $4 million hypercar a total loss.

This wasn’t just any Bugatti either, this was a Chiron Pur Sport, the track-focused variant that trades some top speed for handling prowess. Under the hood sits the legendary 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine producing 1,479 horsepower, capable of rocketing from 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. The Pur Sport variant features a fixed rear wing, stiffer suspension, and aggressive aerodynamics designed for circuit domination. Gonzales had wrapped his in a stunning purple, based on Lamborghini’s Viola Parsifae color.

But this crash represents just the latest chapter in the battered Bugatti’s story. Automotive content creator Alex Gonzales, known online as fxalexg, recently shared a video to Instagram showing himself climbing onto the fixed rear wing of his Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, which predictably resulted in damage to the carbon fiber wing. The stunt was pure social media gold but proved expensive, that rear wing alone probably cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars considering the Chiron’s a high-maintenance hypercar.

Gonzales’ rags-to-riches story reads like a modern fairy tale. With an alleged $100 initial investment, he’s built an estimated $50 million net worth. His garage reads like a supercar enthusiast’s fever dream. Beyond the now-totaled purple Chiron, multiple Lamborghinis, McLarens, and other exotics, with a total value exceeding $2 million, he also owns a baby-pink Bugatti Chiron. Recently, Gonzalez grabbed attention on Instagram after revealing that the battery in it had died, and the replacement would cost a staggering $36,000.

Now the million-dollar question. What’s a crashed Chiron Pur Sport worth? Given the extensive front-end damage but presumably intact drivetrain, expect bidding to start around $800,000. Previous crashed Bugattis have fetched anywhere from $500,000 to over $1 million, depending on damage severity, and this one’s social media fame might actually add to its value. For Gonzales, it’s probably just another tax write-off in his rags-to-riches journey.
