Jaguar recently unveiled the brand new entry-level sedan XE and to be very frank, the car looks stunning. Especially the front section including the nose and the sharp headlights which look like a work of art; but the British marquee has in fact unveiled a real work of art, a sculpture to be more precise, to celebrate the launch of the XE sports saloon. The unique aluminum word cloud sculpture in the shape of the new XE sports saloon was revealed at the London Design Museum by Jaguar. The word cloud sculpture features a total of 95 words in French, German, Spanish, Italian, English, Russian and Mandarin.
The unique sculpture is a result of computer modeling, used to create and mold the words, before being finished using metal craftsmanship by the team behind elements of the London Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Design Museum Head of Communications Josephine Chanter said: “Large scale installations like this striking sculpture are always hugely popular with our visitors, and the Jaguar XE form is already attracting lots of attention. We’re sure that it will be a hit with the public, and it makes an eye-catching addition to our programme for the London Design Festival.” Installed in the Design Museum’s ‘Tank’, the sculpture marks the London launch of the XE sports saloon and will be showcased between September 5 and October 6 at the museum.
