This mystery billionaire’s transformed $60 million private jet looks more like a Hermes showroom

Sofía Aspe’s design studio has earned numerous accolades for its exceptional work. A quick glance at her social media reveals stunning interiors spanning homes, libraries, and hotels. However, one project truly stands out, a private jet.

The aircraft belongs to a repeat client who first had his helicopter remodeled before entrusting Sofía Aspe’s team with a complete overhaul of a Gulfstream G550. What did her studio do with its dull, uninspired interior? They transformed it into a functional yet welcoming space, opulent but never ostentatious and stylish without compromising utility. The result is the perfect balance for long-haul comfort.

Designed for family, social, and professional gatherings, the jet’s layout prioritizes both utility and elegance. Clever storage solutions, convertible sofas, and a neutral color palette set the tone. An exquisite selection of organic materials, including wood, stone, jute, bronze accents, and luxurious textiles like wool, cashmere, and leather, infuses warmth without overshadowing the jet’s understated luxury.

The selfies, filming of 'The Kardashians', and meetings on the plane are not for likes but to prove to the IRS that Kylie Air is a business tool.

The real magic lies in the details. From the texture of the seats to the soap dishes, tableware, and cutlery, every element has been meticulously curated. Even a backgammon set seamlessly blends homeliness with hedonistic indulgence. Lighting wasn’t an afterthought, either. The studio customized it for every phase of the flight, with dim settings for resting, functional brightness for dining or working, and adjustable lighting for a cozy ambiance. Having completed over 200 projects, Sofía Aspe’s firm has managed to create a lavish yet intimate environment within a confined space, a true design triumph.

Another private jet makeover worth mentioning is the $5.5 million transformation commissioned by Sandra Corinna Kinzl, CEO of SCK Aviation, to turn her Gulfstream into an all-black ‘Lamborghini of the skies.’ A stark contrast to Sofía Aspe’s refined aesthetic, this bold design is a true showstopper for those who thrive on the extraordinary.
