Qatar airways has enlisted two globally renowned chefs Nobu Matsuhisa and Vineet Bhatia to design a new menu for their passengers. Last month a select group pf media guests were treated to a 5 star spread on-board a Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER parked at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. The menu included a number of inventive dishes including some designed by Chef Vineet Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
Guests also sampled Billecart Salmon brut champagne and met James Cluer, Qatar Airways’ Master of Wine who revealed that the airline’s world-class wine lists, chosen carefully for altered palates at high altitude. Chef Colin Binmore, Qatar’s Head of Food and Beverage Development discussed the challenge of sourcing consistent ingredients and maintaining quality when working with different caterers in different countries. Items on the menu included dishes like braised lamb shank with chickpea and saffron sauce, parsley mashed potato, and roasted root vegetables, Arabic spiced prawns with machboos sauce, rice, and fried onions and nuts etc.
Qatar’s new menu has been launched internationally, so everyone can enjoy the palette pleasing creations of the world famous chefs.
