We are just a few weeks away from Christmas and the end of what has been a tough year for the whole of humankind. This year’s holiday season might be very different than what we are usually accustomed to; nevertheless, it’s time to spread joy! Switzerland-based online watch marketplace Chronext brags about having Europe’s largest selection of luxury watches. Established in 2013, the company operates from 19 different locations and claims to satiate the needs of the most discerning customers. For this year’s Christmas, the Swiss brand a truly unique and quite possibly the most extravagant advent calendar ever created. The bespoke creation hides behind its 24 illuminated doors a carefully curated collection of watches.
Chronext released a small video on YouTube showcasing the massive advent calendar and giving a sneak peek at the collection. What we know as of yet is that the collection includes an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked, a Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 3712 with a moon phase complication, and the rare “Four Dot Dial,” and an A. Lange & Söhne Richard Lange Jumping Seconds with a one-second constant-force escapement. The rest of the collection will comprise timepieces from the horological world’s most notable names, such as Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, and Arnold & Son. As for structure, it is built using premium quality wood and features a piano finish. Standing 1.77 meters tall, the unit is huge and looks absolutely stunning. Priced at €1.25 million (roughly $1.5 million USD), this could very well be the most expensive advent calendar ever made.
