The delectable Girard-Perregaux’s anniversary edition assumes the collection’s identity codes to reveal its sensual side. Feminine and grandiose, the latest offerings are designed to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Cat’s Eye collection.
As delicate and feminine of an accessory, the anniversary edition shows off a complex range of Haute Horlogerie features. Available in two versions (black dial/white diamonds and white dial/red sapphires), it encapsulates timeless elegance with unmatched design details from the purest simplicity to surfaces washed over in a sea of glittering diamonds.
The black version features a hand-polished onyx dial and 73 brilliant-cut diamonds. While on the opaline version, the rays shine forth from a hand-polished white mother-of-pearl background that has been dyed gray. Costumed with 73 sapphires at their tips in shades ranging from bright to pastel pink.
To create a dynamic effect on the dial, the Swiss watch manufacturer has shifted the point of origin for the rays from the center to the 9 o’clock position. Due to the asymmetrical profile of the case, the rays of light assume a variety of lengths, creating a sensual allure. Each teardrop-shaped tip points towards the outside, and their centers are set with one jewel, sometimes two when their dimensions allow for it. In both versions, the leaf-shaped hands are domed to give them beautiful volume and a distinguished character.
Made of white gold, the superlative case is adorned with 62 brilliant-cut diamonds set around the bezel. The open case-back of this special edition is engraved with the words “10th Anniversary” and its pink gold oscillating weight is engraved with the letters “GP” to create a tapestry-like décor. It features hour and minute functions and offers 46 hours of power reserve.
The black of garnet alligator strap is clasped by a white gold folding buckle that curls ergonomically around the wrist.
