TAG Heuer ambassador and professional tennis star Naomi Osaka has unveiled a new limited edition Aquaracer Professional 300 that will make others go green with envy. Stunning shades of green are spotted on the strap and dial that also sports the name of the Japanese sports star. She is serving up a dishy green number and Osaka, one of the most influential tennis players, was actively involved in creating the new Aquaracer, which will be launched exclusively in the United States, Japan, and Australia.
The green represents a reminder of Tennis and brings Osaka back to her love of nature and all things green. “I am excited to continue my work with TAG Heuer not only because their timepieces are so renowned and classic but also because it is an honor to be able to create a timepiece with such an iconic brand with a rich history in watchmaking. I’m grateful to TAG Heuer for allowing me to fuel my passion for fashion and product design,” said Naomi Osaka. The green is an apt ode to the game of Tennis with not one but two striking shades of green.
Another noteworthy aspect of this time-telling stunner in green is how it comes with bold hour markers and broad hands to make it easily legible for engrossed players who can only spare a glance. The dial has an unusual pale green color and forms a wave pattern. Details on the five minutes markers are a hue of green with a muted relation to the color of tennis balls. The octagonal hour markers are a glittering addition that stands out owing to their stunning assortment of diamonds. The back of the 36mm steel case dons Osaka’s teddy bear logo; the same is replicated on the packaging alongside the TAG Heuer logo on a green and black box that also comes with a travel pouch.
The visually enticing Aquaracer Professional 300 is a star in its own right both on and off the tennis court. Naomi extends her eco-friendly sensibilities to the watch as well by incorporating a rubber strap that is 100% recyclable and made of fishing nets. The series will be limited to 250 pieces, numbered from 1 to 250, and houses a TAG Heuer Calibre 5 automatic movement and offers 300 meters of water resistance. It will be sold exclusively through authorized dealers in the United States, Japan, and Australia for $3,650.
