Akash, the petrolhead son of Asia’s richest person, Mukesh Ambani, took his $1 million Ferrari out for a spin. His bodyguards followed him in a large convoy of 9 SUVs, including a Porsche Cayenne, to match his speed.

Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in Asia, and Nita Ambani’s elder son Akash Ambani is a well-known car enthusiast, and his personal collection includes some of the rarest and most expensive cars money can buy. The Ambani scion was recently captured on video driving his red Ferrari SF90 Stradale on the streets of Mumbai, accompanied by a big convoy of SUVs carrying security personnel. The short clip was uploaded on Instagram by a Mumbai-based car spotter who goes by the name Harry93 on the social media platform. The massive convoy of at least 9 security vehicles includes several Land Rover and Range Rover SUVs, along with a Mercedes-Benz V-Class van and a Porsche Cayenne. Notably missing were the white-colored Mercedes-AMG G63 SUVs that usually travel in the convoy of Ambani family members.

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale was acquired by Akash Ambani in 2022. While it might not be the most expensive vehicle owned by the 32-year-old, the hybrid supercar retails for around $1 million in India. The mid-engine PHEV supercar is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine which is assisted by three electric motors. The combined output of the hybrid powertrain is 986hp, which is enough to help the supercar accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 211mph. The e-motors draw power from a 7.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, which gives the SF90 Stradale an electric-only range of 16 miles. There were a few media reports last year that claimed Ambani’s Ferrari had met with an accident, destroying the front end. However, we could not find enough information to confirm this. If the reports are true, Akash Ambani either got the million-dollar supercar completely restored or replaced it with a brand-new one.

In addition to the red Ferrari, other notable exotic cars from the Ambani scion’s personal collection include a Lamborghini Urus, a customized Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Bentley Bentayga, and a McLaren 570 S Spider. Akash is also a passionate collector of high-end luxury watches and is often spotted wearing ultra-rare horological creations. It includes an all-sapphire Richard Mille worth $5 million, which is limited to just 5 examples, each requiring 1000 hours to make. During his younger brother’s pre-wedding festivities, he was also spotted wearing a $9 million Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime, the most complicated watch by the legendary Swiss watch brand.
