The new sport inspired capsule collection from Hermes might find fans in those who are loving the current popularity of streetwear and athleisure inspired products from high-end brands. The collection includes bags and small leather goods inspired by sports like basketball, baseball and even soccer.
The collection might be too preppy for some, but we were intrigued by the Cityback 27 basketball inspired backpack. Made of a deep blue calfskin leather, the bag featured white detailing that resembles the markings found on basketballs. Other features include the adjustable straps and palladium plated zip closure.
With its steep $8,700 price tag, this bag is probably not for everybody, but those who do decide to shell out the money for it probably won’t be disappointed by the workmanship and quality. Hermes does take pride in their leather goods after all. Those who are not inclined towards sports but still love the shape and style can choose from two other versions (teal and black) that omit the basketball markings.
