Popularly known as the angriest and the speediest raging bull, the Aventador has now been upgraded with more power and a rehashed tech interface. The Aventador S comes has an even more aggressive nose, a longer front splitter and vertical fins in the rear for improved aerodynamics . Under the hood or rather behind the driver is the same mighty naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine that churns out not 700 but an astonishing 740 bhp. To achieve the power increase, both VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and VIS (Variable Intake System) have been optimized in order to obtain an enriched torque curve. Additionally, the maximum engine revs have been increased from 8,350 to 8,500 rpm. The 1.6 ton all wheel drive zooms from a standstill to 100 km/hr in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 350 km/hr.
The driver can tame the bull in four driving modes – STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and the new EGO mode, which influence the behavior of traction (engine, gearbox, 4WD), steering (LRS, LDS, Servotronic) and suspension (LMS). The last option provides additional and individual set-up profiles, customizable by the driver.
The Aventador S adopts a new exhaust system that is 20% lighter than its predecessor delivers an enhanced Lamborghini sound and resonance from the already inimitable V12 aspirated engine.
