Ardent Johnny Depp fans, here’s a piece of news for you! You can now get your hands on a very important piece of Depp-related memorabilia. We’re talking about the 1955 Harley-Davidson Model K, which was used by the star in the movie Cry-Baby.
As per reports, only two bikes were used during the production of the hit film: a mock-up that was used for the crash and burn scene at the end and the pictured bike that is now offered for sale. The original vehicle was fully functional at the time and was even ridden by Depp on set.
Once the shooting was completed, the bike was acquired by one of the secondary cast members and has since then been passed down to several owners. It is currently on display at a museum in Branson, Missouri.
Describing it, the listing notes that its “running condition is unknown.” Still, “the bike is in fantastic, screen-used condition, […] has all of the parts and should run and drive.” It is going for sale through Kruse GWS Auctions, with an opening bid set at $250,000.
Other items being sold include Janis Joplin’s mandolin, which she once gifted to Jimi Hendrix. It is hand-painted with flowers and phrases, including the latter’s name. The estimated price for the instrument is also $250,000.
The auction opens on the 25th of June, 2022. Ready to get your hands on some classics?
