Most luxury watchmakers aim to have their exquisite timepieces worn by the rich and famous. Recent developments, however, reveal their ambition to become an integral part of Dubai’s landscape as well. London Gate, UAE’s premier real estate developer, is assisting Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Franck Muller in reaching this milestone by linking it to Dubai Marina. This connection is symbolized by the launch of a luxury watch-themed skyscraper, the tallest branded residential tower in Dubai, standing nearly 1,500 feet tall and marking Franck Muller’s stylish entry into the world of real estate.
Eman Taha, CEO of London Gate, stated, per Khaleejtimes, ‘Following our debut in the UAE real estate market with our sold-out projects Maya V, Nadine I, and II, we are now excited to unveil our latest masterpiece in collaboration with the iconic watchmaker Franck Muller. This project introduces Franck Muller’s first-ever branded residences. Through this partnership, we aim to create a living experience that mirrors the brand values and vision of both London Gate and Franck Muller. This exclusive branded residential project stands as a testament to our commitment to creating unparalleled and unique spaces that embody the essence and prestige of our brand partner.’
The impressive structure will be named Aeternitas, after one of their most complex watches featuring 36 complications and 1,483 components. It will compete with Jacob & Co’s 100-story Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences in the heart of Dubai, another remarkable real estate endeavor by a luxury watchmaker.
Erol Baliyan, managing director at Franck Muller, commented, ‘We are thrilled to expand in the Middle East through this partnership with London Gate. We have strategically explored the branded residential market in the UAE to extend our brand’s heritage of excellence to real estate. Launching Franck Muller’s first-ever real estate collaboration in a world-class city like Dubai, known for its vibrancy, luxury, and development, is extraordinary. This marks the start of a new chapter for our brand. We are excited to introduce a groundbreaking legacy for Franck Muller, which is set to be the first of many iconic global ventures.’
Construction of Aeternitas is scheduled to begin in January 2024, with handover to residents anticipated by 2026.”
