When the youngest child of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, is to get married, the world pauses to take note of the extravagant affair. Straight out of a fairytale, the OTT pre-wedding festivities of Reliance Industries scion Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have begun in their hometown of Jamnagar with a bang that’s got a global audience fixated. With over 1000 guests in attendance, most of them being VVIPs from different walks of life like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Yuri Milner, Sundar Pichai, etc., everyone is witnessing a flamboyance that has never been seen anywhere before (they got American diva Rihanna to perform for the first time in 8 years and the first time in India).
The Ambani family, worth $113 billion, has hosted two weddings in the past of twins Isha and Akash Ambani, but it is safe to say they are leaving no stone or celebrity unturned for the final leg of weddings in their clan. Isha Ambani’s nuptials were also extremely grand, with a banging performance by Queen Bey Beyonce herself. Akash and Shloka’s pre-wedding celebrations took place far from India, in Switzerland’s St. Moritz, and featured a winter-wonderland theme.
But what caught our eye was the gift the first Ambani daughter-in-law received from Mukesh’s wife, Nita Ambani, founder of NMACC, a cultural marvel in the heart of Mumbai City. The Reliance matriarch welcomed her daughter-in-law in true billionairess flair by giving her the most expensive necklace in the world, the $55 million L’Incomparable.
The extraordinary piece contains the largest flawless diamonds with a spectacular yellow stone weighing over 407 carats in the center. The stone is attached with another 102 diamonds. It now brings to mind a million-dollar question as this is the Ambanis we are talking about.
What will Nita Ambani gift Radhika Merchant, her soon-to-be daughter-in-law with the wedding slated to take place on 12th July 2024? It will be nothing short of outstanding for the billionaire power couple who have already gifted luxurious and expensive things to their future daughter-in-law such as a $550,000 Bentley Continental GTC Speed on her engagement to Anant, family jewels, designer outfits.
While these are material things, Nita Ambani does go out of her way to make Anant’s beau and fiance feel special. From arranging a grand celebration to celebrate Radhika’s passion for her art form Bharatnatyam to performing a dance on their engagement, she does it all.
