Anant, the youngest son of Asia’s second richest man Mukesh Ambani impressed Rihanna with his rare $4.5 million Richard Mille watch and exotic birds in his $4.6 billion private residence

After performing for the Ambanis in Jamnagar, Rihanna returned to India with a very different mission. This time, there was no private concert, no 1,500-strong guest list, and no wedding-stage spectacle. The Barbados-born superstar was in Mumbai for Fenty Beauty, but in true Ambani fashion, business came wrapped in culture, couture, conversation, and billionaire hospitality inside Antilia, the family’s $4.6 billion vertical palace. After enthralling the Ambani family and their guests at the March 2024 Jamnagar pre-wedding celebration for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant with her first concert in eight years, RiRi was back for round two. This visit, however, was not about a performance. It was about a powerful beauty alliance, with Fenty Beauty finding its India moment in the home of Asia’s richest family.

27 storeys tall on Mumbai’s billionaire row, Antilia is the worlds most expensive privately owned residence

Yet inside a mansion famous for its scale, gardens, ballrooms, and impossible price tag, the most dazzling object in the room may have been on Anant Ambani’s wrist. Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son, one of the most well-known watch collectors in the world and the force behind Vantara, wore yet another stellar timepiece, a rare $4.5 million Richard Mille. The RM 57-02 Tourbillon Falcon is a precise, peerless, and theatrical wristwatch featuring a sapphire-set white gold case. Inside, a diamond-set falcon, entirely carved and chased by hand, is perched in attack mode.

Meticulously set with pavé diamonds and sapphires, the watch feels especially fitting for Anant, an ardent animal lover whose work with Vantara has made wildlife rescue central to his public identity. On the wrist, the falcon becomes more than decoration. It represents strength, speed, and his affection for voiceless creatures. Despite its ornamental appearance, the RM 57-02 remains a serious high-performance machine. Its complicated skeletonized tourbillon movement is visible through the gaps in the falcon’s form, turning the dial into a tiny jeweled sculpture with mechanical theater underneath.

The limited-edition Tourbillon Falcon represents the pinnacle of Richard Mille craftsmanship, set with baguette-cut dark sapphires that appear almost black in natural light. In total, the watch features 532 stones, including VVS diamonds weighing approximately 9.34 carats. What makes the moment even more interesting is that while wearing this diamond-studded falcon on his wrist, Ambani showed the Barbados-born phenom around his Perkins & Will-designed mansion. Rihanna was welcomed not just by Anant, his wife Radhika, Isha, and Shloka Ambani, but also by Anant’s macaw birds, along with an exotic Palm Cockatoo, adding a fittingly personal touch to a visit built around beauty, business, and culture.

A visit to remember, à la Ambani-

Rihanna, a billionaire herself, got a real taste of ultimate Indian hospitality from one of the richest billionaire families in the world, right inside their own home. The family played perfect hosts as the pop star brought her India-specific activation, Fenty Beauty Ki Haveli, to life. The immersive pop-up was designed with Indian palace-inspired architecture, local design cues, shade-matching spaces, product discovery rooms, and creator-led social media moments. At Antilia, the experience was elevated with Indian customs, including playing Holi with flowers and performing a pooja.

The celebration unfolded in a multi-story open-air space inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It acts as a lush vertical green bridge, separating the lower public levels, such as the ballroom and guest suites, from the private family quarters on the top six floors. In a room filled with Chanel, Dior, Miu Miu, Gucci, flowers, rituals, and Rihanna herself, Anant Ambani’s diamond-set Richard Mille still found a way to behave like the rarest guest in the room.
