Moschino’s Powerpuff collection is all about childhood nostalgia

Sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what little girls are made of. Not to mention a dash of “Chemical X.” If you can recall that reference, you’ll certainly remember Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, the beloved Powerpuff Girls that kicked bad-guy butt and always saved the day. The animated trio are now the inspiration behind the Moschino Loves Powerpuff Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

The brand has previously referenced cartoon characters including the Loony Tunes and the SuperMario Brothers for their collections and it looks like the ‘90s nostalgic cartoons will continue being a fixture at Moschino. The Powerpuff collection includes a wide array of clothing and accessories from cardigans and dresses to scarves, swimwear and phone covers. Prices range from $80 for a phone cover to $1250 for a retro inspired dress. Check out our top three favorites below:
Moschino-Powerpuff (1)
One piece Swimsuit, $375
Swimwear should be fun, and this cobalt blue maillot certainly is thanks to a deep back and liberal dose of colorful cartoons. Pair it with oversized sunnies and a sarong for a summer pool party.
Moschino-Powerpuff (3)
Cardigan, $685
Make a statement in this vivid cardigan that’s the exact color of Bubbles’ pretty eyes. Pair it with bleached skinny jeans and some sneakers for an instantly effortless vibe.
Moschino-Powerpuff (2)
Printed dress, $1,250
Be unapologetically bright in this full skirted dress. Wear it with pumps and a scarf for a ladylike look or sport it with the Powerpuff cardigan for some retro flair.
