The Samsung Galaxy Note8 promises to be bigger and better than its predecessors

With the launch of the new Galaxy Note8, Samsung is hoping to put the disastrous Note7 story to rest at last. The main draw for the new phone is its 6.3” Infinity Screen that promises an almost bezel-less smartphone experience. This is the largest screen ever seen on a Note device, but it still fits comfortably in your hand.

The Note8’s dual camera game is pretty strong with its 12-megapixel telephoto lens beside a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel front camera. Samsung has emphasized the low light capability of the cameras and the optical image stabilization (OIS) that promises steady pictures even when the camera is shaky.

The S pen stylus now lets you draw your own emojis, make animated GIFs, or write handwritten messages on photos. The phone also lets you take notes without unlocking the device which is a pretty handy feature.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 features an Octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 3,300mAh battery with wireless charging capability. It comes in four colors: Midnight Black, Deepsea Blue, Orchid Gray and Maple Gold. The device will hot shelves in September but is already available for pre-order.
