Vans has collaborated with pro-skater Ray Barbee and Leica for a limited edition camera.

When three legends come together, the result is bound to be spectacular! And in depicting the same, we have Vans, photographer Ray Barbee and Leica, who recently joined forces for a collaborative capsule and a limited-edition camera.

Christened “Capturing the Journey”, each of the pieces in the collection is inspired by Barbee’s creative culmination and passion for his craft. It features apparel and footwear in a total of four silhouettes, circled around a color scheme of light blue, brown, red, and teal.

While the OG Sk8-Hi LX, OG Slip-On LX, and OG Old Skool LX models feature printed, raised red dots on the sole and red top eyelets inspired by the Leica logo, the Vans OG Authentic LX comes in a Dark Red suede and canvas upper decorated with custom embroidered quotes. The left shoe bears an inscription reading, “The joy is in capturing the journey,” while the right, in German, reads “Ich entscheide hiermit: es wird riskiert” or “I hereby decide: the risk shall be taken.”

At the center of the ensemble, however, we have a limited-edition Leica D-Lux 7 Vans x Ray Barbee camera that is adorned with Vans’ iconic checkerboard pattern and Barbee’s signature on the plate. It will be accompanied by a coordinated shoulder strap and dust bag.

The Ray Barbee x Leica x Vault by Vans’ Capturing the Journey’ collection is currently retailing at Vault by Vans retailers, with the limited-edition camera available only in selected Leica stores around the world. You don’t want to miss out on this one!
