Instead of sand, this DeBeers hourglass makes use of 2,000 diamonds that cascade in a mesmerizing display

You know the time is right when your hourglass contains diamonds instead of sand. This wonderful reminder of prosperity comes from De Beers and is dubbed the Limited Edition Millennium 2000 Diamond Brass Hourglass Timer. A truly captivating object, it conceals over 2,000 natural rough diamonds, weighing approximately 36 carats. One cannot help but be hypnotized by the gradual fall of these glittering diamonds in a silicone fluid, replacing sand in the most beautiful way possible. It creates an attractive visual that lasts for thirteen minutes, though you’d want it to go on for eternity.
