The Peninsula Hong Kong has partnered with jewelry maison Van Cleef and Arpels to offer an exquisite afternoon tea service for a limited time. The summer menu is inspired by the nature motifs seen in the jewelry house’s classic designs. Imagine your favorite floral Van Cleef jewelry designs, translated into elegant tea time bites, sounds heavenly doesn’t it? The Afternoon Tea service is a celebration of Van Cleef and Arpels new boutique at the Peninsula Arcade. The Peninsula Bangkok teamed up with Tiffany and Co. for a similar event just last year.
There’s plenty to look forward to at tea time, expect delectable treats like lemon and basil tarts, apricot macarons, chocolate tarts with milk chocolate chantilly, and mango and passionfruit choux. Each item references the jewelry pieces from Van Cleef and Arpels’ fabulous collections.
Savory items are also on the menu. You can choose from Niçoise salad and croque monsieur, smoked salmon, dill-marinated cucumber with white bread and The Peninsula’s signature freshly-baked scones served with organic strawberry jam and clotted cream. Guests will have the chance to take home a notebook inspired by Van Cleef & Arpels’ iconic Frivole jewelry collection.
The Afternoon Tea set is priced at HK$ 388 for one person or HK$ 688 for two (plus 10% service charge) and will be served daily from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm between 14 August and 30 September 2017.
