British Airways launches business class sale for flights and holidays

The iconic British Airways carrier has unveiled a premium sale, targeting fans of traveling in style. Until 28th March 2022, customers can secure discounted business class flights and holiday packages to selected short and long-haul destinations out of the English capital.

It’s possible to pay for a standalone flight or acquire flights as part of an overarching holiday package, staying at one of the airline’s partnered hotels.

Short-haul business class has become even more cost-effective because of this sale. It’s possible to hop on a flight to Copenhagen in business class for as little as £89 each way and £112 each way to Milan. When it comes to package holidays across Europe, it’s possible to book a seven-night stay in Marrakech as a Club Europe customer from only £469 per person. Three-night stays in Venice as a Club Europe customer can also be booked from just £309 per person.

Looking further afield, some of the most impressive long-haul package holidays available as a Club World flyer include seven nights in Dubai from £1,719 per person and four nights in New York from £1,599 per person.

International Airlines Group (IAG), the group owner of British Airways, has seen its share price plunge from 400p to 100p per share since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ongoing headwinds such as the energy price crisis and the war in Ukraine have ensured further market dips.

However, as international travel returns to pre-pandemic levels, there is a chance that IAG can profit significantly. With a distinct focus on North American destinations, transatlantic routes across all its carriers are worth over $1bn to the group. Hence why BA has gone big on its business class offering in recent weeks. As IAG is publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange, UK-based readers can even invest commission-free in IAG themselves, particularly if you feel that the group is undervalued ahead of a period of rapid rejuvenation. But for the time being, let’s look at what business class is offering passengers.

What does Club Europe and Club World entail?
Club Europe is BA’s business class for short-haul flights across Europe. Found at the front of the plane, it’s an area that never feels cramped, giving you much-needed privacy whether you’re looking to unwind or carry on working mid-flight. They achieve this privacy by keeping the middle seat free, with only window and aisle seats currently used.

Club Europe travelers are treated to an impressive selection of onboard meals and refreshments, with cold, hot and alcoholic drinks available. Club Europe travelers also benefit from generous baggage allowances, with the ability to take a small bag and a full-sized cabin bag on board.

Business-class travellers for long-haul flights with BA get more than just a seat. It converts into a fully ‘lie flat’ bed, perfect for catching up on your sleep mid-flight. Club World customers are also treated to amenity and bedding kits, especially designed by The White Company. Pre-flight, Club World travelers can access private lounges to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the airport terminal. There are even separate check-in desks and priority boarding to help you beat the crowds.
