Attention all dog lovers! Genesis has revealed a concept car accessory designed for dogs that you’ll absolutely love. Behold the Genesis X Dog concept, a removable module for the Electrified GV70 that transforms the SUV’s boot into the most comfortable place for your dog. It is packed with all the luxury features and creature comforts your pooch will ever need, turning the GV70’s trunk into a palace on wheels for your furry friend. According to Genesis, the module was designed around Eleven, a Cocker Spaniel that also goes by the name El. The very cute dog, who can be seen in the official pictures, loves to swim in rivers, run through mud, and spend time outdoors. However, El is also a very nervous traveler. The Genesis X Dog module has all the necessary things to calm El down, including soothing music and lighting.
The concept module is designed to match the premium interior of the Genesis Electrified GV70, which includes quilted vegan leather upholstery on the sidewalls, 100-color configurable ambient lighting, and non-slip surfaces. Additionally, there’s a built-in electric shower, a heated bed, and even a hairdryer designed specifically for dogs, with all of these features and appliances utilizing the SUV’s V2L (vehicle-to-load electric power) feature to run. A 6-liter (1.6-gallon) pressurized water tank for the shower is neatly within a designated compartment, while the hairdryer comes with its own pouch made of waterproof material.
The module comes with an integrated retractable aluminum and carbon fiber ramp for easy access, while it also has push-to-open storage compartments with 230V plug sockets and a USB charging port. Other amenities include a Genesis-branded dog cushion with a heating function and a wireless Bluetooth audio system to keep your dog entertained. According to recent studies, dogs are much more comfortable traveling in EVs than combustion engine cars. This is why Genesis chose the Electrified GV70 as a base for this concept. The SUV is powered by a pair of electric motors producing a combined 483 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Its 77.4 kWh battery pack offers 276 miles of range between charges.
