As he settles into Florida life with his glamorous fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, Jeff Bezos has sold his Washington lakeside mansion for a record‑setting $63 million

Jeff Bezos seems intent on not returning to Seattle, not even to his homes. He sold the house where he launched Amazon, and more recently, a $63 million mansion in Hunts Point, Washington, just east of Seattle, as reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal. The Amazon founder is the world’s second-richest man, and anything he touches tends to break records. This home sale not only shattered the previous Washington state record but also highlighted Bezos as its one-time owner.

He purchased the property in 2019 for $37.5 million, setting a record then too. The 9,420-square-foot residence, nestled on 3.27 acres along the shores of Lake Washington, was designed in 2003 by renowned Seattle architect Jim Olson of Olson Kundig. Olson is celebrated for his residential projects, especially for art collectors, although his portfolio also includes museums, commercial buildings, and places of worship.

This three-bedroom, four-bath home is surrounded by lush greenery so thick that some parts of the estate resemble a forest. It’s a masterpiece of understated luxury, featuring a rooftop deck with a fireplace, a catering kitchen, an elevator, a two-story guesthouse, and a stunning glass-enclosed shower that opens to a walled Japanese garden.

Since relocating to Miami in November 2023, Bezos seems to be closing a significant chapter of his life, one where Seattle played a central role. He’s now looking ahead to his future with fiancée Lauren Sánchez, with their wedding scheduled for June 24–26 in Venice. According to Business Insider, this Hunts Point property was one of many he acquired during a post-divorce real estate spree following his 2019 split from MacKenzie Scott. Perhaps he’s simply ready to let go of reminders from that period, or maybe it’s all just business.

Either way, his real estate ambitions haven’t slowed. Bezos recently dropped $90 million on a third mansion in Florida’s ultra-exclusive ‘Billionaire Bunker’. With properties worth nearly a quarter of a billion dollars on this secluded Miami island, it’s clear the billionaire is embracing life on an epic scale.
