The Brabus Big Boy 1200 has claimed the throne for the best motorhome of 2025 after winning the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best award. Often called the Oscars of product design, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the highest honors a brand can receive for innovation, aesthetics, and functionality. The competition draws thousands of entries each year from the most respected design houses across the globe, making the win for Brabus a truly exceptional achievement.

Brabus, already known for its high-performance cars and luxury boats, has now entered the world of motorhomes with a bang. The Big Boy 1200 is their first-ever Masterpiece motorhome, and it lives up to the name in every way.

Designed in partnership with Belgian RV specialists STX Motorhomes, the vehicle is an unapologetic statement of wealth, comfort, and cutting-edge engineering. Stretching 12 meters in length and featuring extendable slide-outs, it creates a total living space of over 30 square meters, which is more than enough to rival many upscale apartments.

The interior is handcrafted with materials like fine leather, carbon fiber, and Alcantara, giving it the signature BRABUS touch. It includes a luxuriously fitted lounge, a king-size bedroom, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and a bathroom that feels more like a spa. Large double-glazed windows and electric skylights bathe the interior in natural light, while electronically controlled blinds allow instant privacy. Comfort is further ensured with a high-efficiency climate control system and auxiliary heating.

Technology plays a major role in the Big Boy 1200’s appeal. It features full global connectivity with a built-in Starlink system, a Wi-Fi router, and an entertainment suite that includes two 43-inch 4K TVs, a PlayStation 5, and high-end audio. Solar panels on the roof, paired with a battery unit and a backup generator, ensure that the motorhome can run independently off-grid.

Despite its size and weight, the vehicle is powered by a 12.8-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 530 horsepower and a massive 2,600 Nm of torque.

Every detail of the Brabus Big Boy 1200 has been carefully thought out, and this Red Dot award confirms what many already suspected: this is not just a motorhome, it’s a mobile luxury residence. Built to order and priced north of one million euros, it’s as exclusive as it is impressive
