Luxury motorhomes continue to push the boundaries of what is possible on the road, but Concorde’s all-new 2027 Centurion raises the bar by blending residential comfort with serious engineering. Built on the Mercedes-Benz Actros chassis, the flagship model introduces a completely redesigned exterior, an entirely new interior concept, and an impressive level of off-grid capability, making it one of the most ambitious touring motorhomes the German manufacturer has ever produced.

At the heart of the lineup is the Centurion 1050 GI, a 34.4-foot (10.5-meter) model that packs one of its biggest surprises behind the rear axle. It’s an integrated garage large enough to accommodate a Smart-sized city car, as reported by Promobile. An optional extending loading platform simplifies loading and unloading, while the shorter body is around 1.5 meters shorter than the outgoing 12-meter Centurion 1200, improving maneuverability without sacrificing the spacious interior expected from a flagship model.

Four hotel rooms on wheels

Concorde says the Centurion’s interior is designed to feel like four separate hotel rooms, with dedicated lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom spaces. Although the new 1050 GI no longer uses a slide-out section, a clever floor plan featuring a rear French bed and a passage linking the bathroom to the bedroom creates an open and airy living environment.

The prototype showcases dark genuine wood, light contrasting surfaces, anthracite accents, and handleless cabinetry for a modern residential feel. At the rear sits a generous 200 x 180-centimeter bed surrounded by improved storage and larger windows, while the oversized bathroom features decorative sliding partitions, a spacious shower with real-glass doors, premium fixtures, and upscale finishes more commonly associated with luxury hotels.

The kitchen is equally impressive, featuring a 182-liter household refrigerator and an oven as standard. Buyers can also specify a wine refrigerator, bean-to-cup coffee machine, and an unusual dishwasher that reportedly uses just eight liters of water per cycle and can even operate while the vehicle is in motion. Lounge layouts can be configured with opposing sofas or a bar-style arrangement, and an optional front drop-down bed adds extra sleeping accommodation. Concorde also offers a completely gas-free configuration using electric household appliances together with diesel-powered heating and onboard power systems.

Engineered for extended off-grid adventures

Power comes from Mercedes-Benz’s 10-liter inline-6 diesel producing 395 horsepower. The standard fuel tank holds 390 liters, while an optional 500-liter tank extends touring range even further. One of the biggest engineering upgrades is a new 24-volt electrical architecture with a standard 600 Ah battery pack, equivalent to approximately 14.4 kWh of energy storage. The prototype displayed by Concorde featured an upgraded 900 Ah battery, 560 watts of solar panels, an optional diesel generator, and a powerful inverter rated at 9,000 watts peak and 3,700 watts continuous, reportedly allowing two roof-mounted air conditioners to operate directly from the battery system.

Designed for extended self-sufficient travel, the Centurion carries a 470-liter fresh-water tank, a 370-liter gray-water tank, and a 300-liter fixed black-water tank paired with a porcelain toilet. A standard 5G router keeps occupants connected, while digital controls monitor the vehicle’s key systems.

On the outside, the Centurion adopts a striking new design language with a futuristic front end, flush-mounted double-glazed real-glass windows, automotive-inspired rear styling, LED lighting, and side-hinged exterior storage compartments with reinforced frames and central locking. Depending on the chosen configuration, the integrated rear garage can carry a Smart-sized city car, motorcycles, outdoor equipment, or up to two electric bicycles, reinforcing the 2027 Concorde Centurion’s position as a luxury apartment on wheels built for long-distance adventure.
