Crown Princess of the Princess fleet excels

Martha Stewart and ‘The Bee at sea’ together enhance superfluous laurels to the Crown Princess of the Princess fleet. As we have mentioned earlier about Lifestyle queen Martha Stewart unloading an exclusive property, it appears that now she is keen to uplift the Crown Princess. The 113,000-ton Crown Princess will introduce a number of new design innovations to the Princess fleet, including a dramatic new piazza-style atrium, new casual dining venues, and a brand new adults-only retreat called The Sanctuary. The ship will also feature several hallmark features that define the Princess experience, including the dramatic Movies Under the Stars poolside movie screen, multiple dining and entertainment options, a Lotus Spa fitness center, an extensive children and teen’s center, a wedding chapel, and nearly 900 staterooms with private balconies.

Martha Stewart, selected by Princess Cruises to serve as godmother for Crown Princess will preside over the vessel’s official naming in New York on June 14, 2006. That same evening across from the glittering Manhattan skyline, the 3,080-passenger Crown Princess will depart on her maiden voyage to the Caribbean, the first of a summer season of roundtrip New York voyages. Princess Cruises President Alan Buckelew says “We wanted to give the honor of christening our new ship to a woman of exceptional achievement, and Ms. Stewart is certainly that”
When Crown Princess sails on June 14, the passengers will be given the opportunity to compete in one of the nation’s hottest “new” reality competitions: the spelling bee. Passengers can try their hand at this increasingly popular pursuit with “The Bee at Sea.” This two-day challenge will test passengers’ skills and nerves with intense drama, escalating word difficulty, and suspense-filled elimination rounds.
