Airbnb and Pantone create an all-green retreat in the heart of London

In our present “concrete ruling” times, seeing plush greens in and around town is a rarity. But, either way it isn’t an impossible reality. At least, that’s what Airbnb and Pantone have to say with their brand new project. The creative companies have recently teamed up to create a plush, nature -filled wonderland right in the heart of London. Inspired by Pantone’s color of the year called the 15-0343 Greenery, the retreat is now actively listed on Airbnb’s home-sharing site for overnight stays.

The hidden green home is re-built in place of a brick Clerkenwell building which is now transformed into a lush greenhouse-like oasis. Staying true to the Pantone’s theme color – a yellowish green hue, the new “Outside In” house boasts of a fresh décor with live ferns, moss, grass, and trees planted beside stepping stones made of tree stumps. The unique place opens up with an eye catching door that swings open to reveal a secret indoor garden in the reception. Visitors are then hosted by a “‘groundskeeper’ with a fresh and healthy green juice, made locally and color-matched to PANTONE 15-0343 Greenery. The two-bedroom Greenery flat further includes an indoor greenhouse that doubles up as a dining room, garden-like bedrooms with real turf as carpets, topiaries, soporific plants, a teepee for children, a hydroponics installation, a rainforest-themed bathroom, and a kitchen with walls filled with live vegetables and herbs.

Built mainly to cater to the growing need of Londoners for natural surroundings, the Outside-In house is open for guests for £200 a night. Further, all proceeds from the project will go to the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Located at 4 Dingley Place, Clerkenwel, this plush Pantone home is certainly worth a visit and more!
