Pranksters turn a New York subway platform into a spa and New Yorkers loved it

Summers in New York can be miserably hot making an ideal setting for the Improv Everywhere group to invite subway riders to join them in embracing the heat.

The team decked out the ‘34th Street Station’ platform and put on big magnets that read ‘34th Street Spa’. Members of the troupe wrapped themselves in robes and towers offering fresh towels, ice water with lemon slices and hot stone massages to the passer-by. For the ‘steam room’, people were asked to position themselves in the center while four people sprayed mist to cool them down.
