The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona gets two new iterations. The pair packs a playful contrast of light and dark mother-of-pearl dials, straps and diamonds.

Ask a watch lover if there’s anything better than a Rolex, and they might tell you: two Rolexes! The luxury watchmaker is releasing a double whammy in the form of precious and exclusive versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona. The duo can be told apart owing to a reversal of design details (panda and reverse panda dials), discernible from their contrasting dials, different straps, and evidently dissimilar personalities. What is common to both the timepieces is that both are crafted in 18 ct white gold and crowned with a bezel set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds.

The first version is a monochromatic marvel of sorts with an Oysterflex bracelet. Subtly of the dial is owing to the white mother-of-pearl interrupted only by the ruggedness of the chronograph counters in black mother-of-pearl. Interestingly, the same design elements are reversed in the second iteration of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona. With a robust Oyster bracelet, this watch will enthrall lovers of noir with a black mother-of-pearl dial with contrasting white mother-of-pearl counters.

The playful symbiosis of the materials in the dial and their positions optimize the color intensity and further enhance the contrast between them. Highlighting the dial are eight diamonds and three Chromalight hour markers. The Cosmograph Daytona boasts a 40 mm Oyster case and is waterproof to a depth of 330 feet.

It comes equipped with caliber 4131 movement equipped with a self-winding system via a Perpetual rotor, encased in the waterproof Oyster case. The middle case of the versions is crafted from a solid block of 18 ct white gold, and the power reserve of this movement extends to approximately 72 hours.
