Ever since they joined hands in 2011, the Hublot – Ferrari association has unsurprisingly been steady and strong. Years after presenting the world with the first collection of the Hublot Big Bang UNICO Ferrari watches, the bespoken are back with a new edition! In continuation of their famous stint, Hublot very recently introduced three new watches that are every bit of a prime addition to the Ferrari series.
Revealed on 23rd November at Mueso Enzo Ferrari in Modena, Italy, the new edition reflects well onto the aesthetics of both the brands and delivers a fine amalgamation of the two. The series comes in three varieties – the titanium, King Gold, and carbon fiber. The first in the lot – The Big Bang Ferrari Titanium is a limited edition of 1000 pieces that comes with a re-defined (extremely legible) dial design with a new sub-dial minute counter and a date window at 3 o’clock, that aptly ape Ferrari’s famed tachometer. Next is – the Big Bang Ferrari King Gold which is perhaps the most striking piece of the series. Limited to 500 watches, this one dons a rather technical look. Similar to its counterparts though, the King gold comes fitted with a strap made from Alcantara, rubber, and red stitching, much like the interiors of a Ferrari car. Lastly, we have the Big Bang Ferrari Carbon which is an equal striker with red hues on the hands, numerals, and hour markers. The carbon fiber used in the watch gives it its final sophistication, which can further be customized by the users as per their liking.
At the base of each of these watches, you can find Hublot’s Unico Flyback chronograph movement which is fitted with a pallet fork and escapement wheel crafted from Silicon. Many features of the watches such as the double-clutch, column wheel, an oscillating weight draw uncanny similarities to that of Ferrari’s functionality. All said, the Ferrari – Hublot fusion is surely working wonders in the wired world of horology!
