At the upcoming SIHH 2019, Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre will unveil a new version of its Rendez-Vous Moon watch in pink gold and steel. At the heart of the watch is a new and even more feminine moon phase which is augmented a silvered guilloché dial. The entirely reworked moon phase highlights the expertise of the Grande Maison’s Rare Handcrafts “Métiers Rares.” Located at 6 o’clock on the dial, a delicately polished moon cycles through its phases against a lacquered blue starry sky. Despite the update, the new watch is instantly and unmistakably recognizable as part of the watchmaker’s Rendez-Vous collection, retaining all its characteristic, original features – it includes the bezel, set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds blended into a seamless border. Additionally, the watch’s inner dial is studded with 47 smaller diamonds in perfect symmetry. The textured effect of the guilloché dial completes the harmonious marriage of materials and precious stones.
The new Rendez-Vous Moon has a 34 mm case, available in both stainless steel and pink gold, that encases a Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 925A automatic movement providing a 40-hour power reserve. There is no word on the price as of yet.
