1957 Ferrari 625 TRC Spider fetches $6.5 million at auction
Monaco played host to one of the most amazing auction of Ferrari cars, both vintage and new, held over the last weekend by RM Auctions. One can only imagine the excitement and war of bids that could have ensued among Ferrari enthusiasts and collectors. The most expensive item was a 1957 Ferrari 625 TRC Spider, which sold for just under €5,040,000 ($6.5 million)! The car is one of only two ever built by Ferrari and flaunts the chassis number 0680 MDTR and is powered by a 320-horsepower V-12. The car also came with all original documents to prove its authenticity.

World's first deep sea bar to raise a toast at the bottom of Baltic Sea
Wouldn't it be great if during one of your deep sea expedition you end up in a bar. Well, it can soon be a reality. To celebrate Guinness' 250th anniversary, they commissioned Jump Studios of London to transform an old submarine into a deep sea bar. The first and the only deep sea bar was also a collaboration between Jump Studios and Nicholas Alexander who assumed the dual roles of carpenter as well as an engineer. The process involved taking measurements of the submarine in Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden, for constructing the interior shell. All the components for this deep sea bar were assembled in sub-zero temperatures. The interior of the submarine bar has glass reinforced plastic rubber discs which resembles the bubbles. Each of these disc are further fitted with LED lights. Some of the discs were left as is, so as to allow some space for the beverages. Since this submarine bar was going to be located at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, it had to undergo series of ventilation and fire safety protocols.

Star Trek USS Enterprise prototype can be built for $1 trillion
It was fine till the Star Trek saga was limited to a futuristic resort in Jordan and a Qantas A380 aircraft. But we were literally propelled out of our chairs like a rocket when we read about this ambitious engineer called BTE-Dan who wanted to build a real USS Enterprise! The genius has a remarkably detailed plan on the building of the iconic spacecraft as well as estimations for the costs involved. He’s introduced the Built The Enterprise website a week back and it’s already taken off like hot case due to traffic from fellow Trekkers and regular aerospace fans. He also stated that if the plan is implemented infallibly, the real USS Enterprise named as Gen1 Enterprise could be built in as little as 20 years.

Audi Wörthersee high performance e-bike will debut in Austria
Audi is all set to debut their prototype Wörthersee e-bike next week at Wörthersee in Carinthia, Austria. The event will be marked by trial biker Julien Dupont and downhill specialist Petra Bernhard will demonstrate their stunts and street bike skills. Adding style to bikes, Audi hopes to convert quite a few of its four wheel drive fans into considering a two wheel eco-friendly drive, at least for shorter distances. The high-performance electric bike from the German automakers features “the Audi core competences of design, ultra, e-tron and connect” stated Audi’s Head of Design Wolfgang Egger.
