London would witness on July 9, one of the most interesting grand balls – The Animal Ball, an exceptional event organized by the Elephant Family charity to raise funds for endangered species and celebrate 10 years of saving wildlife. The unique theme for the event requires each of its guests to adorn animal themed masks. I am at a loss of words to describe Chanel’s new jewelry collection - Sous le Signe du Lion. The new collection is an awe-inspiring effort by Chanel that magnificently captures the strength and beauty of the king of the jungle. The collection is an ode to Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s zodiac sign, which incidentally holds a special place in her heart. The collection consists of 58 pieces of adornments that have been crafted in precision and exudes utmost brilliance. Designer Philippe Starck is renowned in the world of luxury. His creative works are widely acclaimed and known for its uniqueness. His newest creation is a lounge system created in partnership with Italian furniture company Cassina. Starck calls his new work, MyWorld. In his words, he describes the lounge as: “MyWorld is a cocoon, a nest, a world where we can be egocentric and comfortably commune with our own shadow or collect some snatches of news from the world.” MyWorld follows a minimalist design like the 2013 Aston Martin sofa collection. His collaboration with Cassina has brought together a unique design that’s both simple and sophisticated. Although being a place to cozy up, the lounge also accommodates the leisure of ‘staying connected’, that is, one can charge their mobile phones and gadgetries through the hidden plug-ins provided in the lounge system.

Blancpain, one of the oldest watch brands in the world, yesterday opened doors to its third store in Shanghai in the Xintiandi district. This store is the largest of the brand’s 30 boutiques worldwide. Spanning to a spacious 600sqm, the two storey store has prioritized customer experience. It offers an integrated customer service center along with a spectacular lounge bar. The unveiling of a unique version of the Calendrier Chinois Traditionnel also marked the inauguration.

Princess Cruise officially added to its fleet last Thursday, one of the most magnificent ships – the Royal Princess, which was christened by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge. The occasion was held in Southampton, UK in all British elegance and tradition, perfectly blended with the modern and contemporary star-studded entertainment. There were over 2,000 guests present to witness Kate Middleton ceremoniously bless the ship, later inaugurating it by releasing a bottle of champagne (that smashed against its hull).
